If you weren’t a fan of how toxic Sam and Dean’s relationship was in Season 9, prepare to be extremely satisfied with Season 10 of “Supernatural.” According to Jared Padalecki, even though Dean’s going to find himself dealing with life as a demon, Sam’s commitment to finding and helping his brother won’t waver like it has in the past.

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are all smiles while sitting on a panel for their long-running series Supernaturalduring The CW’s portion of the 2014 TCA Summer Press Tour on Friday (July 18) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The guys, joined by producer Jeremy Carver, both revealed their thoughts on when the series should end.
If there’s one thing I learned at the Summer TCA panel for Supernatural, it’s that Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki love their fans. The two are coming up on a 10th season playing Dean and Sam Winchester, and while we did get spoilers for the new season, it was mostly Ackles and Padalecki talking about how the show’s giant fan base has kept them wanting to come back year after year. Here are some of their best quotes from the panel about Supernatural viewers, their relationship with each other, and why the show probably won’t end anytime soon.
In honor of “Supernatural’s” upcoming tenth season, The CW brought showrunner Jeremy Carver and stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki to the Television Critics Assn. summer press tour to reflect on the show’s milestone anniversary and the future of the cult hit.
Are Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki singing on Supernatural?!
The CW hit is tackling a major first in Season 10: At the 2014 Summer TCA Press Tour, showrunner Jeremy Carver revealed to E! News that Supernatural’s 200th episode will be something of a “musical-ish” episode, which the longrunning series has never done. Feel free to take a moment to bask in the sheer awesomeness of this idea.

Jared Padalecki on Celebrity Babies
Celebrity Babies has published an interview with Padalecki talking about the difficulties of being a dad:
It takes a lot to memorize lines and perform action stunts, but Supernatural star Jared Padalecki says his real challenge is at home.
“For grown men who are used to playing sports, babies are tough,” the actor, 31, who welcomed his second son, Shepherd, in late December, told PEOPLE on Thursday at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
“As they get older, you can play and communicate — it’s fine. When they’re babies, you’re like, ‘I don’t want to break you. I have big hands, I’m sorry.’”
Luckily, Padalecki — who is also dad to 22-month-old Thomas Colton – credits his “pretty awesome” wife Genevieve, alongside the occasional nanny, with helping him conquer double diaper duty.
Being away from home in Austin, Texas, to shoot the CW’s hit show in Vancouver, B.C., has prevented Padalecki from getting a lot of quality time with his newborn, but he says “we’ll have a couple of weeks now.”
There are some videos available from Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Below you can watch two interviews with Jared and Jensen at red carpet, Jensen, Danneel and Jared being photographed and Jared and Jensen presenting the Best Animated Feature award.
Fangasm has reported Jared’s meet and greet at the Supernatural Convention of this month. Jared’s parents sat in on his meet and greet too, watching from the back as Jared chatted with fans. He shared an amusing story about being on a flight recently. He was sitting with Mark Pellegrino, and Jensen, Danneel and JJ were sitting in front of them. Everyone was very respectful, but he said it was funny watching people’s reactions as they walked by and realized how many members of the SPNFamily were on the plane – people would be hitting their friend and whispering “Omg, look at that!”
A fan asked if Jared had made any decisions in Season 1 that he’d had to carry over into Season 9, and if he regretted any. He didn’t say he regretted anything, but he did say that he was told while shooting the pilot that they wanted the character of Sam to be intelligent. Jared himself is a smart guy from a family of academics, so in the first couple episodes he really tried to get that across.
One of the most emotional moments of Jared’s meet and greet came after a fan talked about how incredible the Season 8 finale was, and said that the Show – and Jared – should get an Emmy. Jared said that for him, talking to fans is what it’s all about. He doesn’t need an Emmy to know how people feel about the Show, doesn’t need that judgment by his peers.
It seems this year Warner Brothers won’t release the official video of the panel. However, some people recorded it and there are some videos available. Below you can watch one of them, plus an introductional video showed before the panel, some interviews with Jared with the press and an extra interview with Jensen and Jared at Nerd HQ.
With the presence of Jared’s parent, the actor’s meet and greet begins with Jared showing the TV Fan Following PCA to the attended fans. Fangasm reported the highlights of the unique meeting with Padalecki.
Jared kicked off the meet and greet by passing the PCA award around: You guys, it’s yours. Jensen and I figured we’d bring it to the cons and do photo ops with it. You guys know how unusual this is, right? To have this kind of friend and family relationship with the fandom, it’s unheard of.
A fan asked about the recent S8 episode “Trial and Error”. Was the scene in which Sam kills the hellhound complicated to shoot?
Jared agreed that it was complicated to shoot. They had to spend a great deal of time prepping, because the “chocolate goo” they used to simulate blood, once it got out, went all over and then had to be cleaned up, which would mean hours to reset the scene. So they had to do a lot of prep.
Jared jumped up to demonstrate, laying himself out on the floor in the position he was in during the shot. The crew built a gigantic wooden cutout of a hellhound so that Jared would have an idea of how high to stab it, and so they could work out whether he should stab up or down and how high. Clearly a bit hard to do with nothing there. They also used a laser pointer so that Jared would know where to aim at it when he shot it.
Another fan asked if Jared’s favorite season was still S4. Jared pondered a bit, running through the other seasons and sharing his feelings about each. Season one, he didn’t feel like he really had Sam down yet, so that wasn’t his favorite. Season 6 and 7 were okay but not his favorites either, and neither was Season 3. Fans reminded him that S3 was cut short by the writer’s strike, making it not quite what Kripke had originally intended. The former CW head had also shoehorned the characters of Bela and Ruby into the show, in a somewhat forced and artificial way. Lauren and Katie were great though, Jared said, adding that obviously he was ultimately glad that the character of Ruby was introduced. Season 2 was good, but ultimately, Jared decided that he still had to go with S4 as his favorite. As Jared put it, “it was my favorite Sam season.” The character of Sam was a little bit power hungry in that season, and Jared confided that he thinks that sometimes he might have hurt Jensen or Clif’s feelings because of some character bleed from how Sam was acting into Jared in real life. Luckily, Jensen and Clif would always be like, “Dude, calm down…come back,” and that helped him get back into the head set of Jared. He then added about Season 4, “And of course I met the mother of my child.”
Another fan then asked about S8, confiding that the first half of the season had been liked by some fans but not by others, but that most fans were liking the second half. Jared looked a bit surprised to hear that. He said that he felt that the Amelia storyline was somewhat weak. Nothing to do with Liane Balaban’s performance, but the story line didn’t fit well with Sam’s character. Jared also didn’t like the fact that Sam didn’t look for Dean. Jared still said: “And the Men of Letters storyline plays out in such an awesome way, this sets things up for potentially years to come”.
Meet and greet’s final it was about the end of the show. Jared: Jensen and I have talked about when the show ends, we want to do a sort of world tour.
